      Dr. Cang-Bao Xu,is a Distinguished Professor in Xi’an Medical University,China, a supervisor for Ph.D students in Lund University, Sweden and Xi’an Jiaotong University, China; a Special Expert of Shaanxi Province 100 Talents Plan for high-level innovative; the Directorfor Institute of Basicand Translational Medicine of Xi’an MedicalUniversity; the Director for Shaanxi Key Laboratory of Ischemic Cardiovascular Disease. And he also acts as adjunct Professor at Northwest University and Xi’an Jiaotong University; the Honorary Professors at Xiamen University and Fourth Military Medical University. He was elected as full member of the European Council for Cardiovascular Research (ECCR), committee of International Atherosclerosis Society in China; Vice Chairman of Shaanxi Physiological Society and CPPCC member of  Xi’an city and Shaanxi Province; committee of Western Returned Scholar Association and Chinese Overseas-Educated Scholars Association in Xi’an. He was also hired by theNationalNaturalScienceFoundationCommittee as evaluation experts of major program, editorial board member of Chinese Journal of Arteriosclerosis. 

  Prof. Xu graduated from Xi’an Medical University (Currently named as Xi’an Jiaotong University Health Science Center), China and worked as Physician and Hematologist in the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi’anJiaotong University. He received Ph.D. degree in medical science at Lund University, Sweden in 1993, and then continued as researcher associate and faculty member at Boston University, USA for postdoctoral training in vascular cell biology. From 1994 to 2001, he was Professor in Molecular Biology and Pathophysiology at Xi’an Jiaotong University Health Science Center. In 2000, Prof. Xu was a recipient of International Atherosclerosis Society Fellowship Award and worked as Visiting Professor at The University of Adelaide, Australia.From 2012, working at Xi’an Medical University, China.Prof.Xu current research interest “Risk Factors, Intracellular Signaling and Atherosclerosis”
