Following a successful visit in 2018, Dean Bossche, Professor Rossau and Professor Loodts from Thomas More University of Applied Sciences visited XMU from 4th-5th November. The team is prepared to promote collaboration by giving academic lectures and signing a Memorandum of Understanding with XMU.

President Yang Fan, vice-president Huang Baoqiang, as well as management of Nursing and Stomatology welcomed the guests. The meeting is hosted by vice-president Li Xueping. President Yang Fan reviewed the pleasant visit of 2018 with Belgian professors and hoped for more cooperation on nursing and other fields with Thomas More. Dean Bossche appreciated the hospitality and professionalism of XMU counterparts. Both leaders signed the MoU after the meeting.

The Thomas More delegation visited School of Nursing, affiliated 2nd Hospital of XMU in the rest of the agenda. Dean Bossche and Professor Loodts respectively provided lectures on nursing in Belgium and clinical placement to the audience both at the university and hospital.

A XMU delegate is expected to visit Thomas More for Nursing and midwifery exchange, mutual academic visits are to be continued as both universities love to expand collaboration step by step.
