WPRIM & APAME 2019 Held in Xi'an

As a joint effort of WHO, Chinese Academy of Medical Science and XMU, the 2019 convention of Western Pacific Region Index Medicus and Asia Pacific Association of Medical Journal Editors is successfully held in Xi’an, Shaanxi.

This convention has attracted some 200 editors and researchers across the Asia-pacific region for the purpose of a better medical publishing in areas of openness, guidance, evaluation, ethics, etc. Chair Badrakh of APAME, Director Thapa of WTO Western-Asia office, Director Qian Qing of Institute of Medical Information at PUMC, President Hao Yang of People’s Medical Publishing House and Vice-president Li Xueping of Xi’an Medical University spoke at the opening ceremony.

Since the beginning of 2008, APAME has contributed to the Asian medical world annually by building a platform for over a decade. In this year’s convention, teachers and volunteers from XMU has participated by helping to organize and attending lectures. Much has been learnt, according to the participants.
