On April 23, 2018, the delegation from Turnhout city and Thomas More University of Belgium visited Xi’an Medical University. Party Secretary Fan Bing, Dean Zhang Yong’ai and Secretary Jing Hongjun of Nursing College attended the meeting. Meeting is hosted by Director Guo Ting of International Cooperation and Exchange.

Party Secretary Fan Bing extended warm welcome to the visiting delegation and talked about present situation of the university. He said, Antwerp and Shaanxi have been sister provinces for over 3 decades. Hopefully Thomas More and XMU would continue that friendship and develop cooperative programs on nursing . Dean Zhang Yong’ai introduced about nursing college and a successful cooperative program with Kyung Hee University, South Korea.

Dean Bossche of Nursing Department at Thomas More showed great interest in the nursing education of XMU. He said the visit which received great support from local government is to promote internationalization of education at Thomas More. He appreciates the contribution of this university to the regional public health.

After the meeting, the delegation was invited to a tour of nursing laboratories. Potential programs of collaboration have been discussed.
