To promote internationalization of medical education and seek for cooperative opportunities with medical universities along the Belt and Road, XMU joined“Belt and Road”International Medical Education Alliance on June 19th. Vice president Li Xueping , as well as Office of International Cooperation and Exchange were invited and participated in the 1st Council Meeting and Forum.

Initiated by China Medical University, BRIMEA has been building a platform of exchange and cooperation for medical institutions from over 15 countries along the Belt and Road. Members could learn from each other and conduct collaboration on personnel education, scientific research and social service in the medical field.

Featured on the theme of“Jointly Build a Community of Medical Education and Achieve the Great Goal of Human Health”, medical education professionals and scholars from 52 medical education institutions in 13 countries gathered online to participate in this year’s forum. The successful holding of this year’s council meeting and forum will further accelerate the interaction among member institutions, strengthen their mutual exchanges and cooperation, and facilitate the development of international medical education.
